"Trusteeship carries legal responsibilities and duties. To be a charity trustee is not a position of honour without responsibility; it requires time, understanding and guidance."

Good and effective Governance is the cornerstone of a successful organisation. I am privileged to be appointed as chair at this important point in the development of this successful and achieving organisation.
Under the highly effective leadership of its chief officer Jane Capper SWAN has developed from a small organisation serving Salisbury and South Wilts to a county wide generic service with the additional statutory provisions for advocacy under the Mental Health and Mental Capacity Acts.
SWAN is seeking additional trustees who can add value and bring new skills to an already motivated Board and enhance and extend the span of representation to include the whole of the county. Board meetings are held in Salisbury usually on Wednesdays starting at 5.00.
If you are interested in becoming involved in the essential work that SWAN does and to contribute to its future success, please contact Irene kohler (c/o Jane Capper) with a brief CV and covering letter to let SWAN know how you think that you can contribute.
