Become an advocate!

An advocate is someone who
shares concerns for the rights of vulnerable people
shows empathy and respect for others
is independent of health or social services.

SWAN provides full training, supervision and support for volunteer advocates. Volunteers are required to attend certain training sessions to keep themselves up to date with working practice, policy and guidelines. Volunteers are encouraged to undertake additional training to support their personal development.
